Part two of the epic Euro Summer adventure. There’s nothing more special to me than getting to explore new places with people I love. So grateful for my friends and family who came to celebrate my birthday in Chamonix. To say I feel grateful feels like an understatement and trite, but I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I wanted to do something exceptionally special for this birthday - the big 5-0. My 40th was spent solo and sick. I had just moved to Colorado after finishing chemo. I didn’t have any friends yet and I just needed to get through it. I was in a rough and honestly scary place in my life and my physical recovery. There were so many unknowns. But turning 50 - I wanted to celebrate!! I’m alive. I’m healthy. And I’m in a completely different chapter of my life. I’ve heard the acronym for HOPE as Hold On Pain Ends - and celebrating this birthday is the epitome of that. Nothing lasts forever - not the good or the bad. Ride the waves and make the most of this one precious life. It’s not always going to be easy, but it will always be worth it. 💗 #lifeaftercancer
